Proleron - teachers professionalization on entrepreneurship

ERDF-European regional Development Fund: Objective 2 Regional competitiveness and Employment - Priority 2 Entrepreneurship

Promotor: DBO - Dienst Beroepsopleiding (Vocational Training service of the Flemish Ministry of Education in Belgium)
Primary objective: This project aims at professionalizing Secondary school teachers and teachers in Adult education on entrepreneurship and to stimulate their entrepreneurial mindsets by adopting non-traditional approaches and teaching methods and by using non-traditional pedagogical tools in order to increase the efficiency of the entrepreneurial education.
Secondary objective:
  • Foster an entrepreneurial culture trough education.
  • Improve the image of entrepreneurs among teachers.
  • Encourage contacts and links between teachers and the business world.
  • Enlarge the practical knowledge of teachers and coaches on entrepreneurship.
  • Raise the awareness of teachers and students about entrepreneurship as possible career options.
  • Give more attention to corporate social responsibility.
  • Contribute to new start-ups in the future.
Target group: Teachers in Secondary and Adult Education involved in courses on entrepreneurship.
Teachers involved in entrepreneurial courses.
Teachers and mentors of Teacher Education (business-related fields of study).
Secondary objective:
  • Organisation of short “look around and discover” exchanges (1 to 3 days) for teachers in enterprises oriented towards the development of their entrepreneurial competences and attitudes and focused on their real-life experience in entrepreneurship.
  • Organisation of practical exchanges (maximum 5 days) for teachers in enterprises oriented towards the development of their entrepreneurial competences and attitudes and focused on their real-life experience in entrepreneurship.
  • Offering workshops and information sessions for teachers organised in collaboration with enterprises and sector funds and given by lecturers with business experience.
  • Offering presentations, guest lectures and workshops for teachers on recent developments in new marketing strategies, negotiation techniques, selling practices, business software, shop fitting and layout trends, ...
