Project TRANSPOP

Main goal: Offer OV3 and OV2 pupils a POP course, already during-school time, which offers them on the one hand a realistic image of themselves, their competences, expectations and possibilities and on the other hand their opportunities on the labour market. Given their limited possibilities this is a very difficult task for the target group. It is therefore necessary to involve all intermediates from the school period on in order to perform this transition as smoothly as possible. Not only the school advisory services (teachers, management, guidance counsellors, CLB, tutor council and parents) but also specialised course leaders are fully involved in this project to ensure an optimal guidance towards the labour market. Foresee where appropriate further specialised guidance so that a sustainable transition to the labour market is within reach.
Subgoals:
  • Realise a more fluent transition of BUSO OV3 and OV2 graduates towards a protected and regular economic workplace
  • Offer bigger support for a solid guidance
  • Increase opportunities on the labour market
Operational Goals:
  • POP creates the possibility to develop an individual training
  • Make OV3 and OV2 pupils aware of which competences the labour market requires
  • Support youngsters at school by using a transparent and preventative guidance instrument
Target group: On the one hand pupils who graduate in 5th form BUSO OV3 and on the other hand OV2 school-leavers. After guidance and evaluation the first group ends up on the regular labour market, if necessary by guiding them to ABO-courses aiming at employment in the regular economic system. The second group are youngsters who may find a job, perhaps in the regular economic system or who need to be guided to the protected labour market.
