PHYSICAL EDUCATION

1 Motor skills

Extending and deepening motor skills: selection of sensible activities from different domains of action such as athletics, gymnastics, dance and expression, swimming, games and sport games, self-defence, nature-bound activities, or other sensible domains of motion.

The pupils are able to:

1 make a sensible selection of activities suitable for themselves in function of a physically active lifestyle;

2 have an insight in different aspects of a sensible sports and fitness coaching;

3 *comply with arguments and rules and take responsibility in situations involving movement;

4 experience delight in moving, by competently taking part in a varied offer of motion activities; 

5 *show willingness for and enjoy satisfaction in improvement of performance.

2  Healthy and safe lifestyle

The pupils are able to:

6 carry out, evaluate and adjust a fitness training under guidance;

7 know suited movements and correct postures and are able to integrate them in circumstances of work and daily life;

8 know the risks of  and remedies for sedentary life;

9 *comply with safety rules and show spontaneous safe behaviour.

3 Development of self-concept and social functioning

The pupils are able to:

10 deal with fair play, victory, loss, fear of failure and stress and integrate these in other contexts;

11 *cooperate spontaneously in planning, division of tasks and perform(take) different parts;

12 *take care of clothes and material and pay attention to hygiene, environment  and show respect for others;

13 to deal with the side effects of sports in a critical way.
