According to the legislation on the core curriculum, not only final objectives for the common core subjects have been developed, but also specific final objectives for the so-called basic optional subjects or courses of study.

At present, it concerns specific final objectives for the following courses of study in General Secondary Education:

• Economics
• Human science
• Greek and Latin
• Modern languages
• Sports
• Sciences
• Mathematics

It also concerns specific final objectives for the following course of study in General Secondary and Technical Secondary Education:

• Top-class sport
