Extra Information for Schools, Centres and AcademiesThe inspection process: practically and chronologicalWhen your school, centre or academy is inspected, you will receive an announcement letter at the start of the semester. You will be invited for an information session in Brussels. During a
presentation all 3 phases of the inspection process will be elucidated. You will
also be informed on the more practical aspects of the inspection process. Preliminary EnquiryThe ‘file manager’ of the inspection team will contact the institution at least 3 weeks in advance to announce the exact date of the one day visit. The file manager is the inspector responsible for the Preliminary Enquiry and who will determine the audit focus together with his colleague. During the local visit of one day the inspection team will only examine the
data and documents available in the school. The schools will receive a list with
required documents. Also the course of the day is discussed in advance. The AuditOne week in advance the ‘inspector-reporter’ announces the audit focus and the exact dates of the audit to the school, centre or academy. The inspector-reporter is the inspector who coordinates the inspection team and who is the contact person for the school board. For this phase we make concrete arrangements as well, for example about interviews with members of the school team and required documents, etc. At the end of the Audit a debriefing follows: the inspection team shares her
findings with the school board and possibly also with a delegation of the school
team. The Inspection ReportThe inspector-reporter and the school board arrange a date for the
verification discussion. The Information FileYou will receive the Information File by e-mail with in attachment a manual to fill in this file. |
